Around the State
How much do you know about
stem cell research? Did you know that Wisconsin is
not only the founder and a leading pioneer in embryonic
stem cell research; it is also home to the country’s
first and only National Stem Cell Bank? For several
years, stem cell research has been a topic for discussion
and debate, but is often misunderstood. It is important
that residents of Wisconsin are given the right information
about stem cell research and understand the scientific
benefits as well as economic development potential
the research holds for the state.
In January 2007, the Wisconsin Edge began its statewide
initiative, which is designed to inform and educate
the public on stem cell research by visiting several
organizations in multiple cities. Information is delivered
by presenters who are educated in stem cell research
in Wisconsin. The goal of each visit is to present
the basic facts about stem cell research and to answer
questions.
Please find dates and locations of past presentations
listed below and click on the link to find out more
information about each presentation. If you would like
to know if we will be visiting your community, please
send your name, city and question to info@wisconsinedge.com. |
